Welcome back to the Old Fire Station!
We’re so happy to have the building up and running again. You can see exhibitions, grab a treat in our cafe, and watch a show. We can’t wait to see you.
To make sure everyone is as safe as possible, we’re asking all our visitors to use Covid-19 safety measures for the time being.
If you don’t believe Covid-19 poses a threat, that’s absolutely fine. However: we do. And many people in the city do. So it would be great if we could all band together to make everyone feel safe.
We will not tolerate any rudeness to our staff. If you are rude to our staff about any of these requests, we will ask you to leave.
Please wear a mask
Many scientific studies state that wearing masks reduces the spread of airborne viruses. Please wear a mask so that our staff, and other visitors, have a smaller chance of catching Covid (or a cold) from you.
Please keep your distance
If you’re in our Gallery, or any public space, please keep your distance from other people so that they feel safer about the risk of transmission. The number of seats in the Theatre is reduced, although the seating is not socially-distanced.
Hand sanitiser is available
There are hand sanitising stations around the building. Please feel free to use them.
Symptoms and tests
If you have any symptoms of Covid-19, please don’t leave the house unless you have tested negative. Please do a lateral flow test before attending any events at the Old Fire Station. Your temperature may be checked on arrival.
Test & Trace is encouraged
There are QR codes around the building for the NHS Test & Trace app. Please check in when you arrive.
Thank you for helping us to keep our staff, visitors and city safe.
