A selection of artwork in pencils, charcoal and watercolour, all exploring the concept of landscape and the horizon, man-made structures versus the natural world.

Vicky is looking at the perception of horizon and skylines in different rural locations, making a series of drawings of the boundaries that divide all visible directions. These lines where land and sea meet sky are located in England, Greece and Iceland.

Jo has produced a series of drawings observing the division of land and placement of buildings on roundabouts. In particular those where people live or work. These constructed islands are located across in Southern England.

Jo and Vicky met on the MA in Interdisciplinary Art Oxford Brookes University in 2004 where they began to walk through their surroundings to connect with the world. They have continued their dialogue about their practise which has become a valuable resource to making work.
