Exhibition spaces at the Old Fire Station include the main gallery, Café from Crisis and Theatre Entrance Space.
Exhibitions are agreed at programming meetings which take place three times a year.
We actively seek work that supports early career artists, chimes with our artistic vision and/or emerges from partnerships.
We can also respond to proposals from artists, curators or organisations. These are usually accepted on a hire basis. The charge for proposals submitted after January 2018 is £1,250 + VAT per exhibition in the main Gallery and £500 + VAT in other spaces.
We prefer exhibitions to be on show for at least 4 weeks, although we do occasionally consider shorter periods.
If you have a proposal, please contact Amy Beddow, our Visual Arts Programme Manager, with suggested dates, links to examples of the work and a short description of why you think the work suits the Old Fire Station.
