Awkward Productions create work that is fun, exciting and very queer. It was founded by a Swedish immigrant (Linus Karp) and his gay lover (Joseph Martin) in 2017.
The company has created the award winning shows ‘Diana: The Untold and Untrue Story’ and ‘how to live a jellicle life: life lessons from the 2019 hit movie musical “cats”‘, which have both been at The Old Fire Station, and also events such as quiz nights, comedy nights and Eurovision parties. Their work has been covered by BBC, The Guardian, The Stage, Time Out, Wonderland, Gay Times and P4 Sjuhärad (the local radio station of the Swedish forest Linus is from) and have recieved praise from Deborah Frances-White, Edgar Wright and all four of their parents. They are currently working on a Christmas show.
