A Beautiful View features work by the Making Space Safe artist collective, new arrivals to the Women’s Services at Refugee Resource for the Healing in Art Programme, and is supported by artist Mary Chamberlain.

The Making Space Safe art collective most recent exhibition was ‘Nature, Journeys’ at Modern Art Oxford. The collective follows from a closed art group run by Mary Chamberlain with members referred by Refugee Resource and Sanctuary Hosting.

The Healing in Art programme is a new initiative at Refugee Resource funded by the St Clements Community Fund to support some of the newer arrivals within the Women’s Group.

Artist and Creative Practitioner Mary Chamberlain has extensive experience of using art with individuals and groups including with the Ashmolean, Support A Survivor of Torture, Helen Bamber Foundation, Making Space Safe at Modern Art Oxford, and within the NHS. Current exhibitions include Penwith Gallery St Ives, and Counterpoint at the Ashmolean Oxford.
