ICON brings Crisis artists together with celebrated photographer Rory Carnegie. Together they will recreate a series of iconic British photographs.
The process will involve Carnegie working closely with a number of individuals who are keen to learn about the different aspects of making a photograph – from composition and lighting to make-up and prop sourcing. The work will be a response to stimuli from photographs selected due to their iconic status and distillation of what it means to be British.
The resulting exhibition will be a series of photographs representing some of the most recognisable and famous people, or moments, in recent British history – recreated by those who are often disregarded or ignored by society.
The exhibition will open in November 2019.
