Today the Old Fire Station is delighted to launch our Big Give campaign, to fund this year’s original in-house Christmas show.
For the next seven days, every donation to the campaign will be doubled at no extra cost to you. We’ve secured £7,000 in match funding. That means a £10 donation becomes £20, a £25 donation becomes £50, and a £50 donation becomes £100, making these 7 days the most effective time of year to support your local arts centre.
Help bring A Christmas Carol Continues to life
This year’s Christmas Show, A Christmas Carol Continues, is a witty and surprising sequel to Dickens’ beloved classic.
Written by award-winning comedian and dear friend of the OFS Jonny Donahoe, together with Conor O’Toole, the play revisits Ebenezer Scrooge seven years after his redemption, as the ghosts return with unfinished business. Alongside festive humour and joy, the show will invite audiences to reflect on the similarities between Victorian inequality and today’s housing crisis.
As the Old Fire Station celebrates its 15th anniversary, this production feels especially meaningful. Fifteen years ago, we began our partnership with Crisis. Through exploring lived experiences of inequality and homelessness, this year’s production is a full circle moment for us.
Your donation will help us to
- Pay our actors, director and production team fairly.
- Provide free tickets for people experiencing homelessness through our partnership with Crisis.
- Make every performance accessible to people with additional needs.
- Offer £1 tickets to community partners and audiences who might not otherwise experience live theatre.
Please help us reach our target of £14,000. Every donation helps unlock the match funding we’ve secured and brings us closer to sharing this special production with as many people as possible.

Praise for OFS Christmas Shows
By now, we know that the OFS never delivers an ordinary Christmas play. We recognise that, for many people in our community, Christmas can be a particularly difficult time of year. Through our productions, we aim to champion new writing that lifts people out of this gloom, while placing lived experience of disadvantage at the heart of our work.

Thank You
Thank you for supporting the Old Fire Station and helping us to bring new writing to the stage and create opportunities and connections for our community.
