We are an arts centre with a difference: we share a building and deep relationship with homelessness charity Crisis, and work with other organisations to make Oxford a better place to live. We couldn’t do any of it without our funders.
Here’s what your support can do every year:
- Welcome around 14,000 people to 250 shows in our theatre
- Host 15 art exhibitions which celebrate different voices, innovative ideas and ask provocative questions
- Focus on championing new writing and early career artists – 120 visual artists and 450 performers
- Invite over 200 people to pay what they can for workshops
- Offer free tickets to those experiencing homelessness, as well as opportunities to volunteer, train and create art for our galleries and theatre
- Present 90 free events in one week around social impact
At the end of the day, your donation goes towards giving everyone a chance to be part of a unique community. One that allows people to be creative, see and share new, exciting shows and exhibitions, enjoy art and build confidence.
We think this matters. Support us and help more people be part of our community:
‘It sounds silly and over the top, doesn’t it? But it is life changing. The things they think are normal, the way you’re talked to, asked your opinion, you lose when you become homeless or have some crisis. You don’t just lose your home, you lose anything positive, become this thing to be dealt with. It’s learning to live in a healthier way, and remembering you have value, something to offer. It’s like the colour coming back into the world… like waking up and it’s spring. It made me feel like a real person again, like a proper person, I suppose.’ (Crisis client)
