Lights Up commission

Jessica was commissioned as part of Lights Up in November 2020 to create a piece of work on the theme of ‘relationships’.

“I have crafted a costume representative of this time in our history; focussing on finding hope in a desperate situation through our connection with the people around us- regardless of proximity. Therefore, my concept is to construct modern hospital scrubs using ‘patches’ resembling face masks, decorated with the things that maintained a sense of hope for vulnerable people through the most bleak of periods in our lives.”
