Graduating from The University of Brighton in 1996, and having recently completed a masters degree at UAL, I have 20 years experience at the coalface of the photographic industry.
In a practice encompassing both artistic and commercial concerns, I explore a visual language that rests uncomfortably between fact and fiction: a duality that sets photography’s expectation of veracity against the improbability of the artist’s imagination.
Photography is employed not to reinforce, but to question, to challenge, and to subvert. Consequently I embrace the implausible, the contradictory and the absurd.
As well as being a practitioner, I hold a current teaching post in Oxford, and lecture regularly at degree level.
