Freelance Stage Manager
We are looking for an experienced, practical and organised Stage Manager to join our team for an upcoming Christmas production at the Old Fire Station in Oxford.
This year, we’re premiering A Christmas Carol Continues, a new play by Tony Award-nominated Jonny Donahoe with Conor O’Toole, directed by Jess Edwards. It’s a sharp, funny and satirical sequel to A Christmas Carol: seven years on, the ghosts return to haunt Scrooge. He may be cheerful, but he’s still a landlord, and perhaps not quite as “good” as he believed…
This is a short-term freelance role, and we’re looking for someone confident managing rehearsals, working collaboratively with the creative and technical team and our three actors, helping ensure the smooth running of performances.
- £631 per week
- Approximately 6.5 weeks
- Rehearsals in London (16–28 November 2026) and Oxford (30 November–3 December 2026)
- Performances in Oxford 9-29 December 2026(130-seater venue)

Fundraising Administrator
The person in this role will provide administrative and communications support for the Head of Fundraising at the Old Fire Station. This includes researching potential sources of funding, liaising with donors, developing great fundraising communications in print and online and maintaining accurate records to support our fundraising initiatives. You will need to have strong communication skills, be details-oriented and enjoy building good relationships with our donors.
Hours: 22 hours per week, worked flexibly (working pattern to be agreed)
Salary: £27,592 (full time) £16,406 pro rata

Trustee
We are looking to grow our Board of Trustees to help to increase our reach, enhance our profile, spread our message and continue to develop sustainably. We are seeking Trustees who will bring creative vision and champion the role art plays in public cohesion and transforming people’s lives.
We would like to recruit up to three new Trustees during 2026, ideally with experience of Finance, Fundraising or Artistic Programming. Arts at the Old Fire Station (AOFS) is known and respected for its values-led approach and passion for social change, and all Trustees are expected to share that commitment.
