Freelance Visual Artist
The Hidden Spire Collective are a participatory arts group based at the Old Fire Station run in collaboration with Crisis Skylight Oxford. They are seeking a visual artist to collaborate on a new arts project exploring the theme of Hope and Despair. The selected artist will work collaboratively with participants and project staff to shape both the process and final public outcomes. Emphasis in this project is on co-creation, responsiveness, experimentation and shared authorship.
If you are a visual artist with experience in collaborative making, sculpture, installation or spatial practice, we would love to hear from you.
Hours: 12-16 days during September-October 2026
Fee: £4,200-£5,600 depending on the agreed scope of the commission

Fundraising Manager
We are recruiting for a Fundraising Manager to develop and implement our fundraising strategy, generating income through strategic and long-term engagement with new and existing supporters, including trusts and foundations, Arts Council England (ACE), local authority, businesses and members of the public.
Hours: min 30 hours up to full-time (37 hours) per week, worked flexibly over 4-5 days
Salary: £37,000-£42,000 (full time salary)

Trustee
We are looking to grow our Board of Trustees to help to increase our reach, enhance our profile, spread our message and continue to develop sustainably. We are seeking Trustees who will bring creative vision and champion the role art plays in public cohesion and transforming people’s lives.
We would like to recruit up to three new Trustees during 2026, ideally with experience of Finance, Fundraising or Artistic Programming. Arts at the Old Fire Station (AOFS) is known and respected for its values-led approach and passion for social change, and all Trustees are expected to share that commitment.
