Phase 2, session 5, 20 October 2025 

No warm-up, physical or vocal, just a ring of chairs upon which we plonked ourselves and chatted easily until called to order. Polly revealed that we would spend most of the session reading through her script for the final performance. Before handing it out she explained how her composition weaves together all the strands from both phases of the project. With the text in our hands, we tried it out. At the end we asked questions and gave our impressions, which, in your diarist’s estimation, were enthusiastic. We agreed to extend our remaining sessions by one hour each to provide more time for rehearsal in addition to the all-day session on Sunday 16th November.  For someone such as your diarist who has seen a good number of Hidden Spire productions and events, not least, in fact, especially, Sawdust and Atlantis, it is good to know that we are part of something which is being propelled forwards by the same people as powered those remarkable shows and that we are assuredly on our way to creating something remarkable.
